 Additional Bounce Rule — PP42, SLA-AK and DLA-AK

The Additional Bounce Rule may be permitted where an athlete’s functional mobility limitation materially affects the ability to reach, recover, and return the ball within the standard bounce requirement. Eligibility shall be determined through functional assessment and competition observation in accordance with IPPA Classification Standards and Competition Regulations. For Standing PP42, SLA-AK and DLA-AK, the Classifier shall make the final determination as to whether an Additional Bounce is warranted, based on the Player’s demonstrated functional limitation and not solely on the classification designation. The decision shall be recorded and applied consistently throughout the competition.
