Para Pickleball is an adaptive version of the sport designed to promote inclusive sports for individuals with physical disabilities and intellectual disabilities, including wheelchair users and others facing mobility challenges. The sport also adheres to specific para pickleball classifications to ensure fairness and accessibility for all participants.

Para Pickleball for Dwarfs (PP40–PP41 Classification) refers to adaptive pickleball specifically designed for athletes with short stature, including those with forms of dwarfism or conditions that affect height and limb proportions. These players fall under the PP40, PP41 and PP40-PP41 Assisted categories within the para pickleball classification established by the International Para Pickleball Association (IPPA). This initiative is part of a broader commitment to inclusive sports, ensuring that all athletes have the opportunity to compete and participate.

Para Pickleball for standing lower limb disabilities, a form of adaptive pickleball, is designed for athletes with physical impairments affecting one or both legs, allowing them to compete in a standing position. This inclusive sport caters to individuals with conditions such as amputations, limb length discrepancies, joint limitations, muscle weakness, or neurological issues that impact lower body movement, balance, or mobility. Para Pickleball for Wheelchair Categories

Para Wheelchair Pickleball, a form of adaptive pickleball, is specifically tailored for athletes with physical impairments who rely on a wheelchair to engage in the sport. This classification falls under the PP51 to PP57 categories as outlined by the International Para Pickleball Association (IPPA).

These para pickleball classification categories address various lower limb and trunk impairments, including spinal cord injuries, lower limb amputations, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and other mobility-related disabilities. Para MR & CP Pickleball involves adaptive pickleball tailored for athletes with Intellectual and Neurological Disabilities. The International Para Pickleball Association (IPPA) includes para pickleball classification categories to ensure that individuals with Intellectual disabilities (MR) and Cerebral Palsy (CP) can engage in inclusive sports under fair and accessible conditions.
