IPPA WORLD RANKING SYSTEM

The IPPA World Ranking System is the official International Ranking framework of the International Para Pickleball Association (IPPA), designed by Raghu Kumar Raghavelu to recognize, track, and rank Para Pickleball Players based on their performances in IPPA-sanctioned, recognized, and allotted International competitions.

The ranking system provides a transparent and standardized method for determining the competitive standing of Para Pickleball players across different countries, sport classes, and playing categories.

C) Para Pickleball Leagues

D) Para Pickleball Grandprix

E) Para Pickleball Memorial Championships

The IPPA World Ranking System aims to:

• Establish an Official Global Ranking of Para Pickleball Players.
• Recognize consistent and high-level competitive performance.
• Provide athletes with an internationally recognized ranking position.
• Encourage participation in IPPA-sanctioned competitions.
• Support selection and qualification processes for International Championships and major IPPA events.
• Promote fair, transparent, and consistent ranking procedures across countries.
• Create a reliable statistical record of athlete performance.

A Para Pickleball Player shall be eligible to earn IPPA World Ranking Points when participating in competitions that are:

• Sanctioned, recognized, or allotted by IPPA.
• Conducted in accordance with applicable IPPA Rules and Regulations.
• Organized by an IPPA-recognized national federation, association, or event organizer.
• Conducted in officially recognized Para Pickleball sport classes and competition categories.

Only results from eligible competitions shall be considered for the IPPA World Ranking.

The IPPA World Ranking may be maintained separately for recognized Para Pickleball categories, including, but not limited to:

• Wheelchair Para Pickleball
• Standing Para Pickleball
• Dwarfism / Short Stature
• Intellectual Disability
• Cerebral Palsy
• Other Para Pickleball categories and sport classes officially recognized by IPPA.

Rankings may also be maintained separately for Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, wherever applicable.

Para Pickleball Players shall receive World Ranking Points according to their final performance at eligible competitions.

The number of points awarded shall depend on:

• Competition level and status.
• Tournament category.
• Final finishing position.
• Strength and significance of the competition.
• Number and quality of participating athletes, where applicable.
• Sport class and event category.
• Compliance of the competition with IPPA technical and competition requirements.

Higher-level international competitions shall normally carry greater ranking value than lower-level competitions.

The IPPA World Ranking shall be based on an athlete's best eligible performances during the applicable ranking period, rather than simply the total number of tournaments entered.

IPPA may establish a maximum number of results that can be counted toward an athlete's ranking in each calendar year or ranking period.

This system is intended to reward quality, consistency, and competitive achievement rather than participation alone.

The IPPA World Ranking shall be updated periodically following the completion and verification of eligible competitions.

The official ranking may be updated monthly, or at such other intervals as determined and published by IPPA.

Ranking points shall remain valid for the applicable ranking period established by IPPA and may expire, roll off, or be replaced as new results are recorded.

Performances at major IPPA-recognized international competitions shall carry significant importance in the World Ranking System.

These may include:

• IPPA World Championships
• IPPA International Championships
• Continental Championships
• International Opens
• Recognized international Para Pickleball tournaments
• Other competitions specifically designated by IPPA

The exact ranking points allocated to each competition shall be determined by the official IPPA World Ranking Points Table.

For doubles competitions, ranking points may be awarded to each eligible player based on the final result of the partnership.

An player's doubles ranking shall be maintained separately from their singles ranking.

IPPA may establish specific rules governing partner changes, team formation, withdrawals, substitutions, and the transfer or retention of doubles ranking points.

Where two or more players have the same number of World Ranking Points, IPPA may apply approved tie-breaking criteria, which may include:

1. Higher number of tournament victories.
2. Higher finishing positions.
3. Performance at higher-level competitions.
4. Head-to-head results, where applicable.
5. Most recent eligible performance.
6. Other criteria prescribed by IPPA.

The final determination shall rest with IPPA in accordance with the applicable ranking regulations.

All ranking results shall be subject to verification by IPPA.

IPPA reserves the right to:

• Correct errors in ranking calculations.
• Remove results from competitions that are subsequently found to be ineligible.
• Adjust points where incorrect results have been submitted.
• Review cases involving rule violations, classification issues, withdrawals, disqualifications, or disciplinary matters.
• Suspend or remove ranking points where required under IPPA regulations.

The IPPA World Ranking shall be officially published through IPPA's designated communication channels.

The published ranking may include:

• Players name
• Country
• Sport class
• Competition category
• Ranking position
• Ranking points

Only rankings officially released by IPPA shall be considered the official IPPA World Ranking.

The IPPA World Ranking System shall be administered and maintained under the authority of IPPA.

IPPA shall be responsible for establishing:

• Ranking regulations.
• Competition eligibility.
• Ranking point allocations.
• Ranking periods.
• Ranking updates.
• Corrections and appeals.
• Final interpretation of ranking rules.

Athletes, national federations, or recognized organizations may request a review of a ranking result where they believe that an error has occurred. Such requests must be submitted within the period and through the procedure prescribed by IPPA.

IPPA's decision following review shall be final, subject to the applicable IPPA regulations.

The IPPA World Ranking represents the official international competitive ranking of eligible Para Pickleball athletes under the International Para Pickleball Association.

The system is designed to create a fair, transparent, performance-based, and globally consistent ranking structure that supports the growth and professional development of Para Pickleball worldwide.
