INTERNATIONAL PARA PICKLEBALL ASSOCIATION FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES
Currently, pickleball players with disabilities are excluded from mainstream competition, including the Paralympics. While standing categories in adaptive sports like Table Tennis and Badminton are already recognized at the Paralympics, we believe that Para Pickleball deserves the same level of inclusion.
Raghu Kumar Raghavelu has been working day in day out to bring the Para Pickleball Sport included in the Paralympics and World Ability Sport. Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Wheelchair, Dwarf-Short Stature and Standing-Amputees

Through strategic partnerships, athlete development, and adherence to international sport governance, the IPPA is positioning Para Pickleball for future inclusion in the Paralympic Games. Para Pickleball embodies the core values of the Paralympic movement: courage, determination, inspiration, and equality. As a rapidly growing adaptive sport, it offers athletes of all abilities a vibrant platform for competition, skill development, and community engagement. Its inclusive design, adaptable rules, and low barrier to entry make it ideally suited for widespread participation among individuals with diverse physical impairments. Furthermore, Para Pickleball promotes international representation and sportsmanship, supported by an expanding global athlete community and organizations like the IPPA. Including Para Pickleball in the Paralympic Games would not only elevate the sport but also advance the mission of fostering inclusivity, innovation, and excellence on the world’s foremost adaptive sports stage. - Raghu Kumar R

We warmly invite all National and Regional Para Pickleball organizations to collaborate strategically in the realm of adaptive sports, working with focus and purpose toward our shared goal of achieving Paralympic inclusion for Para Pickleball.
